“Arroyo Flowers,” landscaping design, and integral artistic features for the reconstruction of the Golf Course Corridor straddling the Westside Community and Rio Rancho in Albuquerque.
This project served as a focus for best practices for storm water management in urban design both in terms of minimal impermeable surface construction and creation of infiltration basins.
This project was funded by the City of Albuquerque and the Federal Highway Administration and facilitated by the Albuquerque Art in Public Places Program. Here I developed an artistic theme and conceptual framework, which included landscape designs and a 60’ x 5’ x 5’ sculpture for a modified parcel of land straddling the West Side and Rio Rancho in Albuquerque.
